Tuesday morning the Cincinnati Bengals waived former Abilene Christian running back Bernard Scott after four full seasons with the team.

Scott was drafted by the Bengals in the sixth round back in 2009, and appeared in 47 games for the franchise. At the same time he's only played in two games over the past two seasons.

A torn ACL and other injuries limited Scott in his final two seasons with the club. He was placed on the PUP/Injured Reserve list earlier this season while he rehabbed from that injury.

A combination of the Bengals signing BenJarvus Green-Ellis in 2012 and drafting running back Giovani Bernard last May also helped bolster Cincinnati's running game.

Bernard is now a free agent and is free to sign with any other team.
