Boys and Girl Scouts Recruit For Future World Changers

School starts on Monday, and for some parents, they're looking for some  after-school activities for the children.

Just before kids begin a new  school year, the local Boys & Girls Scouts of America teamed up to recruit  potential scouts Saturday morning.

The organizers were posted outside  K-Mart in South Abilene handing out candies and pamphlets for anyone  interested.

Recruit Carl Kieke said they're looking for more youth and  more adult leaders. They understand that recruiting in school may not be as  effective.

According to the organizers, being a scout improves social and  entrepreneurial skills and develops long-lasting relationships.
