Brownwood Art Association Features Local Artists

Brown County is filled with artistic people. Every first Thursday of each month, their talent is showcased at the Brownwood Art Association in downtown Brownwood.
Every first Thursday of each month, the Brownwood Art Association features one of their local artists. Tommy Munster, a two year member of the association, featured his work this evening. He likes to create cartoon illustrations of monsters and animals using acrylic and spray paint mediums.

The Brownwood Art Association has been around since the 1920s and it has one hundred members, each specializing in many different forms of art. Some work in oil painting, metal work and photography.

Anyone is welcome to become a member. The association offers oil painting, acrylic painting, and drawing classes. Munster plans to start a children's program by the end of this month.
