The Brownwood Lions will represent their district as the third place team following a loss to Burnet on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs jumped out an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Lions though would quickly respond.

A base hit by Cojo Guidry would drive home a run in the bottom half of the first, and tie the game at one a piece.

Then in the top of the second inning the Brownwood defense would go to work. First a strike-out by Seth Owen, and then quickly followed by a throw-out by catcher Scott Kinzler.

Brownwood would hold the Bulldogs off the board in the second, but an errant throw to third base by Kinzler would allow two to score in the top of the third.

That would give Burnet a 3-1 lead, and Will Kyle would add to that with a base hit to left field to drive home another run in the fourth.

The Bulldogs would take a 5-1 lead at that point, and pull away for a 12-1 victory.
