The Family Services Centers in Brownwood has been helping the community for the past 15 years, so today they celebrated their anniversary. The 15th anniversary marks the day the family services center become incorporated, but even before that they have been helping the community for 18. For the first 3 years they weren't agency. They had one grant from Texas Families: Together and Safe program, then three years later they grew to an agency. They offer many services such as parenting education and anger management. They also house other agencies such as Red Cross, Girl Scouts, GED and literacy programs. The founders who started it all came back to celebrate with current employees. The executive director of family services center spoke about what it means to have them come back. The center currently has eight grants this year. The most they have ever had was 13. They have served over 22,000 people and 9 counties.
