Over the summer at a face camp, the Brownwood Lionettes were chosen to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The team is excited, but before they can go they had to raise 1,800 dollars per girl. So the team started fundraising by having bake sales, selling t-shirts, and making candies. The Brownwood community responded well in helping the girls reach their goal. Yesterday they reached their goal thanks to a donor. The Citizens National Bank donated $1,000. Their school and the Brownwood community is extremely proud of the team. The drill team can't wait to get to New York to represent their town.
