Brownwood Lions Hoping For Different Outcome

The Brownwood Lions, like most of the Big Country's Class 3A teams, are trying to rebound this week.

Head coach Chuck Howard's team lost to Fort Worth All-Saints on Friday night and gave up 70 points in the process.

Sports guys remember that kind of stat because it's our job.

The coach is working on his kids to forget that game and move on to this week because that's his job.

Coach Howard said, "We played a very good All Saints team that was very talented. I was really pleased with our kids effort. I thought for the most part played pretty well."

The Lions Dylan Lewis said, "All Saints was a good team. We knew that coming in, but we didn't play as good as we could have. We are going to forget about it and focus on this week."

Howard added, "The most important play is the next play, so whether the previous play was good or bad, we're going to move on.  The next most important game is the next game. We're gonna move past All Saints and look forward to playing Graham."

The Lions have another tough one this week. Graham is ranked 5th in the state by the Harris Ratings. That game is in Graham at 7:30.
