The Brownwood Lions clinched a playoff berth last week with their victory over Gatesville.

That said, don't think for a second they are taking it easy this week.

Football teams across the state want to go into the postseason with momentum, so head coach Chuck Howard and his team are looking for a good week of work and a win on Friday night against Llano.

Chuck Howard said, "It's an important game, but we need to win, win two in a row. Get some momentum, get some confidence going into the playoffs, as opposed to going in here and not playing well and then head into the playoffs with a loss. So, it's huge really from the stand point of just some confidence, and having momentum going into the playoffs."

Matthew Gomez said, "We kind of started off a little slow today, but I hope we pick it up today, and other than that we've had good practices throughout the week."

Brownwood is just 1-3 on the road this year. They are in Llano to take on the Yellow Jackets on Friday.
