The Brownwood Lions are back in the playoffs for the 5th year in a row, but they are probably facing their toughest challenge in the 1st round in a long time.

Long time rival and defending state champions Stephenville will be on the other side of the field.

These 2 communities don't care for one another, so it should be entertaining at Shotwell Stadium.

Coach Howard said, "It's a big game. It has been for a long time. It's an intense rival. Stephenville's a very good football team, and we've got to show up ready to play in order to have a chance to beat'em."

Elijah Salazar added, "It's gonna be real physical. Stephenville's pretty big. Both (schools are) blue collar, real physical teams, hard working, hard running the ball, so it's going to be a real powerhouse, physical game."

The Yellow Jackets have won 3 of the last 4 meetings in this rivalry.

The Lions and Stephenville are set to kickoff at 7:30 on Friday night at Shotwell Stadium.
