It’s important for children have someone to guide them. The Big Brother Big Sisters organization helps match children going through adversity with and adult who can provide positive guidance. Even a little time with a child goes a long way. Brownwood’s BBBS has a lunch program that only takes an hour out of the week, however they still need more volunteers.
The principal at East Elementary Principal in Brownwood loves the program, saying “just for another adult to come in and say their name, and call their name, and know they’re not here for any other child, they’re here just to see that one child, and that just makes all the difference.”
BBBS in Brownwood currently has 50 children on the waiting list.
