Bulldogs Look to Bounce Back This Week

Friday night's loss to Argyle was no doubt a tough one to swallow for the Wylie Bulldogs, but they are now using it as motivation, and focusing on their next game Friday night.
Friday night's loss to Argyle was no doubt a tough one to swallow for the Wylie Bulldogs, but they are now using it as motivation, and focusing on their next game.

A year ago the Bulldogs knocked off Argyle on the road in their Week Zero match-up. This year the Eagles returned the favor with a 38-0 defeat  of Wylie at Bulldog Stadium.

Now, the Bulldogs are using that game as motivation, and a teaching tool to clean up some miscues heading into next week's match-up.

"We'll definitely use it as a motivator. Nobody likes getting beat, and it stings a little bit when you get beat. It's like, if that doesn't bother you then something's wrong with you, but we're not going to dwell on that fact. We're going to use it for motivation to go out there and practice, practice faster, practice better and put ourselves in a situation where we can play better on Friday night," said head coach Hugh Sandifer.

"Just let it drive you. It sucks losing, and like coach said, use the film to our advantage, learn from our mistakes, and take it in to next week," said quarterback Blake Frampton.

The Bulldogs are also eager to get back on the field, and prove they're a better football team.

"Oh we're definitely eager. Nobody likes to lose, especially us. We have a really competitive football team and a lot of the guys have a big heart for football and our team. We're going to come out there Friday and be a totally different team," said linebacker Jaxon Bounds.

The Bulldogs will head on the road this week to take on Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m Friday night.
