The ACU Wildcats are 3-0 so far this season and they are scoring points at an alarming rate.

Their 196 points in 3 games is better than more than half of the 91 football teams the school has fielded. That said, head coach Ken Collums team is about to play an Division I team for the 1st time this year, so Illinois State will give the Cats a good idea of what it's like at their new level.

"We're playing a team that we've never played before. We are going into a hostile environment," Collums said. "That place is going to be crawling with people. It'll be packed. That is a quality program up there.  They make the playoffs every single year. Yeah, they are 0-2, but so what."

"They're going to be a tough opponent," receiver Taylor Gabriel said. "They really have a vanilla offense. They don't do too many tricks and twists, so it's going to be a pretty basic week, so we should be pretty good."
