Christmas in July: A Tribute to the Real Cowboys

More than one hundred people from all over Texas and Oklahoma, gathered this Sunday to celebrate the old-fashioned way of life, with competitive shooting.
More than one hundred people from all over Texas and Oklahoma, gathered this Sunday to celebrate the old-fashioned way of life, with competitive shooting.

The event was called "Christmas in July" and was held by BTR, Butterfield Trail Regulators, in Jones County, just outside of Anson.

The town set up, the clothes and of course the guns, were all modeled after the 1800s, a time when the real cowboy thrived. Every BTR member has a passion for guns, but, their reason for joining the organization goes far beyond just metal.
