David Robinett said, "Coach Moebes, you got a good win the other night. Of course, any win is a good win. It really seemed like your guys really came around in the 2nd half and got things turned around."
Cooper head coach Todd Moebes said, "You're right. Any win is a good win. I was really proud of our guys with how they came out in the 2nd half. We challenged them at halftime to clean up our level of football that we were playing. We had some bad snaps, and we were missing some tackles, and challenged them to come out and play a clean 2nd half. They did, and I was real proud of them."
Robinett said, "The guys took the coaching well. Some players don't take to coaching well, but it seemed like your guys responded."
Coach Moebes said, "It says a lot of things about a lot of different things. 1, the relationship that they have with their coach. With a good relationship, the players can be challenged. We have a high level of communication between both coach and player that we can make adjustments and talk the game and have them go out and execute it. It's all about relationships."
The Cougars will go for their second district win this Friday when they take on Odessa High at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa.
