David Robinett said, "Coach Moebes, coming away from the Crosstown Showdown, it's kind of nice to get that win, isn't?"
Cooper head coach Todd Moebes said, "It was a big win for our guys. It's a big district win for us. I was proud of their preparation and being able to go out and execute at a high level like we did last Friday was good. We certainly learned from our mistakes in that game, too, and we are going to fix them this week in preparation for Midland High."
Robinett said, "Offensively, the offensive line owned that game, and they've been doing it all year long, but this one, they just seemed to have a nasty streak going and no one was going to stand in their way."
Coach Moebes says, "I thought they played really, really well. They did a great job of being able to create some holes for our backs. That's what we ask them to do, and they work really, really, well together."
Robinett said, "Defensively, it was a solid performance for your guys. 1 of the best of the year, I would think. Are you happy with the growth you've seen."
Coach Moebes said, "They're progressing and getting better. We've still got a ways to go, but I was pleased in how they performed. It was good to be able to go out a get a stop of the 1st series of the game and give the ball back to the offense. As a team, I thought we did a good job of feeding off each other."
Cooper travels to Grande Communications Stadium this week to take on the Midland High Bulldogs.
