City of Cisco Moves to Voluntary Water Conservation

The City of Cisco has moved from Stage 2 of the Drought Contingency Plan back to Stage 1.
The City of Cisco has moved from Stage 2 of the Drought Contingency Plan back to Stage 1.

The recent rains brought the level of Lake Cisco up to 60 percent capacity which allows the city to move back to Stage 1.

Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan asks all citizens to observe voluntary water conservation. There are no prescribed restrictions in Stage 1, however, if excessive heat persists, evaporation and drought conditions could potentially drop the level below 40 percent and necessitate moving back into Stage 2.

The city asks that all citizens please be mindful of the precarious nature of Cisco's water source and do all in their power to conserve water to the greatest extent possible.
