Coffee Club: Should Fast Food Workers Get Paid Over Minimum Wage?

We're talking about the nationwide protests to increase wages for fast food workers--should they be paid $15 an hour? Or should they settle for minimum wage?
Illinois congresswoman, Jan Schakowsky joined striking fast food workers outside a Chicago McDonald's Thursday.

This protest was one of many in dozens of cities across the country.

The workers are demanding to be paid $15 an hour. Most make about nine dollars an hour now.

Congresswoman Schakowsky says the federal government ends up paying the price for the low wages.

Fast food workers also want the right to unionize without retaliation.

Organizers call the nationwide protests the largest strike ever to hit the $200 billion fast-food industry.
