Couples Tie the Knot on Sequential Date: 11/12/13

Couples across the nation flocked to chapels and courthouses to tie the knot on this iconic date.
An estimated 3,000 couples tied the knot across the nation today. The Taylor County Courthouse was busy all day marrying local couples that wanted to make a commitment on the iconic, sequential date of 11/12/13.

This date is popular for several reasons and local jeweler, J. Shea Leech, said that he has seen an unusual increase in sales due to this date. He began to see the increase about six weeks ago.

The Halfacers joked that with a date as unique as theirs, it would be difficult to forget an anniversary.

According to a study conducted by David's Bridal, 11/12/13 was 722% more popular for weddings than the second Tuesday in November of 2012.

Next year will be the last time this century that you can get married on a sequential date. 12/13/14 falls on a Saturday and is expected to be an incredibly popular wedding date.

Adam and Deserea Halfacer were engaged on Deserea's birthday, October 20th, but have been looking forward to being married on this special day. They said that the numbers had significance to them and that they both like the fall. They are also excited about being married in between both of their birthdays. All of those factors together made today the perfect day to make the commitment to spend the rest of their lives together.
