Cowboys Focused on Building Chemistry

A lot of people think training camp is just about the conditioning and game prep, but it also has a big role in building team chemistry.
A lot of people think training camp is just about the conditioning and game prep, but it also has a big role in building team chemistry.

That could prove to be vital for the Cowboys success given the amount of change the coaching staff went through during the off-season. A total of six new coaches will roam the sidelines for the Cowboys this year. Meaning there will be plenty of new voices and personalities to work with.

Along with those new faces on the coaching staff will come the traditional changes in the roster that every team in the NFL must go through on a year-to-year basis.

At the same time change is nothing new for the Cowboys or any NFL team for that matter. According to head coach Jason Garrett that's just something the Cowboys have to deal with, and work through during training camp.

"Change is something that is inevitable in life, it's certainly inevitable in this league. Coaching staffs change, rosters change, and the teams that embrace the change the best are the ones that are typically successful. And chemistry is a big part of that and you've got to figure out they're the right kind of guys before they come through the door. I think chemistry follows pretty quickly. Do you value the same things? Do you want to coach the same kind of way? All those things happen before you even begin the discussion. Then certainly to come together, you have to spend time together," said Garrett.
