Cowboys In Sixth at the John Bohmann Memorial

BLANCO, Texas — Hardin-Simmons’ men’s golf team is in sixth place after the first round of the John Bohmann Memorial that is being played at the par-72, 6,884-yard Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco.

BLANCO, Texas — Hardin-Simmons’ men’s golf team is in sixth place after the first round of the John Bohmann Memorial that is being played at the par-72, 6,884-yard Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco.

Junior Brandon Heard led the Cowboys with a 76 and is tied for 13th place. Sean Aleman shot 78. David Buzali also had a 79 in his first round as a Cowboy. Austin Prior shot 82 in his first career round and Ryan Hughes had an 83.

Southwestern leads the event after shooting a four-over 292. Trinity is second with 296. Texas Lutheran shot 301, Concordia 305, Schreiner 307, HSU 316, TLU B and Texas-Dallas each shot 317 and LeTourneau carded a 351.

Five players are tied for the individual lead after shooting even-par 72s.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
