Cowboys Up to 17 Defensive Lineman This Season

Will 17 be enough? That's right, the Dallas Cowboys, when they signed Everett Dawkins this week, a defensive lineman, and if he plays Sunday against the New Orleans Saints he will be the 17th defensive lineman the Cowboys have played this in a game this season.

Now that's an awful lot, but they've had an awful lot of injuries on that defensive line, losing three of their four projected starters from the start of training camp. So, the Cowboys have to rely on guys like Everett Dawkins, who comes in on Tuesday, plays on Sunday. Last week it was Everette Brown coming in on Tuesday, plaing on Sunday. Actually getting a sack.

They also have guys like George Selvie, Drake Nevis, Caesar Rayford, Jarius Wynn contributing to what this defense is trying to accomplish this year. So, the Cowboys have left no stone unturned when it comes to churning the guys on this defensive line.

The amazing thing is they're getting production out of some of these guys, and I didn't even mention Nick Hayden, who's been with the Cowboys since February compared to all these other guys it seems like an eternity.
