Cowgirls Finish Sixth at Randolph-Macon Invitational

ROANOKE, Va.   -- Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team finished in sixth place at the Randolph-Macon Invitational at the par-72, 5813-yard Cottage Lake/The Hollows Golf Club.
 
Dylan Dawson led the Cowgirls on Sunday with an 82 and she shot 85-82 to place in a tie for 16th with a 167. Kacy Bartlett shot 94-87-181, Kyla Stanton shot 89-95-184, Kara Doege shot a pair of 95s and Traci Tschirhart shot 98-93-191. Stephanie Jones shot 111-123 for a 234 total, playing as a medalist.
 
Methodist University won the event with a 312-318-630 total by 15 shots over Delaware State. HSU had rounds of 363-357 for a 720 total.
 
HSU will next play at LeTourneau next week.
