The word Coach Purvis uses to describe this Buffalo team is resilient. If you ask the players about their recent success this year, they'll tell you its been a long time coming. For an outsider, their 3-0 record in district may be a surprise, but to this Buffaloes team, its just the end result to a lot of hard work.

"We've worked our butts off for the last couple of years for this. We expected this of ourselves." Says Sheldon Libey.

"They've overcome a lot. They've overcome stuff that has happened in the past, and some tough records in the past." Adds Head Coach Daniel Purvis.

"We put all the hard work in and knowing that we had to work for this, not just being given to us. It's never been given to us, we've always had to work for it." continues Justin Willis.

"It's not about your strength necessarily, its about the amount of heart you've got to put into it too." says Libey.

"They believed the whole time that they could do this. This is nothing new for them, they  believed this was going to happen, they believe more is going to happen." continues Coach Purvis.

"We have time to celebrate afterwards. Saturday morning to Monday morning for celebrating and once Monday morning comes, it's time to hit the gridiron again and get back to work. Most of us aren't ever going to play this game again, so you've got to buy in and sell out."

The Buffaloes continue things Friday night against Baird, and then comes in district Hamlin and Albany on their journey to a district title.
