A New Winery And Events Center Is On The Horizon

A winery and events center plans to set up shop in Abilene now that City Council has approved an old building for rezoning.
A winery and events center is on the horizon for downtown Abilene following the approval from City Council on Thursday.

City Council approved for the rezoning of an old mill building located on Locust near Third street. The building was built in 1920 and has been vacant for several years.

The multi-level building is now owned by "The Mill Winery and Events Center LLC" and they have plans to serve wine made from grapes grown on their local vineyard along with other craft brews.

Construction is already underway and the winery/events center plans to open its doors on April 15th.
