With the one year hiatus approaching for the Abilene Community Theater, members gathered to discuss plans to keep the theater moving forward.

Members and non-members voiced their opinions and sought out answers, while the board discussed their plans to reopen the theater next year. Plans include intensive fundraising and gathering of support to be able to reopen for the 2014-2015 season.

Staff members say they are anxious to see the theater reopen. The one-year hiatus means staff members and volunteers are no longer employed by the theater. But staff say that they want to see the theater reopened because of what it does for the community.

The meeting also included board elections. Nominations were taken for over 12 vacant seats on the ACT board.
