An Abilene man led police to a short car chase after being pulled over for not stopping at a stop sign.

Joseph Fuller, 32, was pulled over on the 1400 block of Mockingbird Street late Saturday night. The officer pursued an investigation and asked for an open air sniff of the vehicle.

Fuller drove away when he was asked to step off. He led the officer on a short pursuit where he was later arrested on the 2800 block of North 14th. He was charged for felony evading detention. It was the same charge Fuller was previously convicted of two years ago.

Fuller was released Sunday from the Taylor County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
