Abilene Police Searching for Missing Woman of 2 Years

It's a case that's been unsolved for two years. After Juanita Mullins' son passed away, her family has no idea where she is.

Neighbors say Juanita Mullins and her son Robert Mullins usually kept to themselves.

Two years ago neighbors say Juanita's disappearance seemed a little odd at first, but when her son told them he'd put her in a nursing home, they had no reason to doubt him since she had a severe case of Alzheimer's. That is until police answered a call from one of the neighbors complaining of a strange odor coming from the house.

Bobbi Bieberly has lived across the street from the Mullins for over 30 years and says she spoke to Robert just before his death.

"I saw his mother hadn't been around for awhile..." said Bieberly.

However the exact location of the nursing home, her son told people he'd left Juanita kept changing.

"Rumor was he'd put her in a nursing home in San Antonio," said neighbor, Boyd Harris.

Abilene police say they've checked the entire property but there's been no sign of Juanita.

Juanita is 88 years old, 5 feet 5 inches, and weighs 130 pounds. She has brownish-gray hair and brown eyes. If you may have seen her, please contact local authorities.
