Abilene Regional Medical announced patients affected by the massive data breach would be notified by mail. They stated the letter would include free identity theft protection and credit monitoring.

Many patients are frustrated not knowing if they should assume they weren't affected or if the letter never made it to them.

Patients like Ashton Bristow say since she last visited the hospital, her information has changed. She has a different mailing address, last name and telephone number. She's concerned with the method of mailing when it comes to something like her personal information being in jeopardy.

Abilene Regional Medical Center says if you do have concerns as to if you were affected or not to call the Community Health Systems' toll free number at 1-855-205-6951.

Abilene Regional Medical Center says they regret any concerns or inconveniences that this breach has caused.
