The Champions Classic is the only fund raiser for the Sports Alliance. "The Classic has been extremely successful over these past 9 years in large part due to our great volunteer committee and our local sponsors who continue to support the Abilene Sports Alliance and its mission to generate economic impact through sporting events year after year," Debi Schultz, Director of Sales for the Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau said. To date, the Champions Classic has awarded $70,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors from Abilene Christian, Abilene, Cooper, and Wylie High schools. Schultz said "Zero week is an exciting time as football really gets kicked off. We invite all football fans out to the Action Sports Medicine Champions Classic."
