HAMMOND, La. – The ACU women's basketball team will close out the road portion of the 2013-14 season Monday afternoon with a makeup game at Southeastern Louisiana.

The game will tip off at 1 p.m. at the University Center on the Southeastern campus. ACU fans can access a live video stream of the game at LionSports.net. Live stats will also be available at LionSports.net.

ACU was to have played at Southeastern in early January when the Wildcats made their first trip to Louisiana. However, two days before the game, the Wildcats were awarded a forfeit win because of over-scheduling by Southeastern Louisiana. However, after an appeal was filed, Southeastern – along with other men's and women's teams across the country in a similar situation – was granted a reprieve and the game was put back on the schedule.

So the Wildcats and Lions will now play in a game that is the final of ACU's 13 road games this season. The Wildcats enter Monday's game at 5-7 on the road.

Both ACU and Southeastern enter Monday's game coming off losses as ACU dropped a 71-64 decision Saturday at McNeese State, while Southeastern is coming off a 92-79 home loss to Stephen F. Austin.

ACU is 16-12 overall and 6-6 in the Southland Conference, while Southeastern is 8-19 and 7-8 and fighting for a spot in the post-season tournament in Katy. Southeastern is 10th in the league standings, one-half game behind Oral Roberts (8-8) for the eighth and final spot in the tournament. ACU – which is ninth in the league, but is tied with McNeese and Nicholls for the third-fewest losses in Southland play – is ineligible for the conference tournament in its first season at the NCAA Division I level.

For Southeastern, Symone Miller leads the team with 13.7 points per game, followed by Aja Gibson (13.6 ppg), Nanna Pool (12.1 ppg) and Elizabeth Styles (10.7 ppg). Pool leads the league with a 58.3 field goal percentage, while Styles tops the Southland with 5.4 assists per contest.

Pool also sits atop the Southland with 10.5 rebounds per game and is one of two players in the league averaging a double-double. Gibson also ranks among the league leaders with 7.7 rebounds per game.

ACU has four players averaging in double figures with senior forward Renata Marquez leading the way at 14.8 ppg. Freshman guard Alexis Mason is averaging 12.3 ppg, followed by sophomore guard Whitney West (11.5 ppg) and freshman forward Suzzy Dimba (11.1 ppg). The top three scorers for ACU have 60-plus three-point field goals, while Dimba leads the team with 8.8 rebounds per contest. Marquez also leads the team with 3.7 assists per game.

Monday's game will be the second all-time meeting between the two new league rivals. At the 1978-79 AIAW Regional Tournament, Southeastern defeated ACU, 104-69.
