ABILENE - For the first time in the three-day tournament, ACU's Micah Hermsdorf had to play beyond two sets, but the extra set didn't change the outcome as she won the women's singles title at the ITA Summer Circuit event at ACU's Eager Tennis Center.

Hermsdorf knocked off Teal Vosburgh of Boise State, 3-6, 6-3, 10-6, to win the championship and advance to next month's ITA Summer Circuit national championship tournament in Indianapolis.  On Sunday, Hermsdorf and her sister, Kaysie, won the doubles championship to earn a spot in the doubles field at the national tournament.

Hermsdorf entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed and cruised through the field, eventually knocking off  Vosburgh, who had beaten No. 1 seed Ana Sofia Cordero of North Texas in Sunday's semifinals.

On the men's side, top-seeded Alex Sanders had little trouble picking up the singles championship, knocking off Will Stein of TCU, 6-3, 6-3, in Monday's championship match.

Stein, however, teamed with SMU's Blake Wiggins to win the men's doubles championship with an 8-6 win over the team of Jason Proctor (ACU) and Max Levine (Villanova).
