Organizers had to cancel the Kids Run due to the rain. Coordinator Robin Hicks informed the public that despite the rainy start, some of the festivities will continue.
The evening activities kicked off around 4 p.m. Vendors opened their booths with food, a kite light show, and live music.
The hot air balloons couldn't go up in the air due to the mud and rain, but balloon pilots took out their baskets and lit up the night sky.
KTAB's Kimberly Sears was there as the community enjoyed the chilly temperatures while showing support.
