Today Glenn came by to talk about a book by Abilene author Loretta Fulton -- Off They Went: Abilene Women Who Defied the Times and Took to the Skies. She is doing a book signing Saturday at Texas Star Trading Company from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. The book is about a group of Abilene women pilots from the 1950s, as well as others who came along later, including Ruby Kinard, Beverly Tarpley, Patty Taliaferro, Mozelle Scarborough, Jo An Hamil, Amber Cree, Marjorie Andrews, Joy Ramsey and Micki Wright.
