The Breckenridge Buckaroos advanced in the boys basketball tournament on Tuesday after surviving an upset bid by Kermit.

Breckenridge led by as much as nine points in the second half, but a rally by Kermit would actually put the Yellowjackets up by two to start the fourth quarter.

Then Caleb Spoon started to take over for the Buckaroos. First Spoon would put the Bucks on top with a drive to the bucket, and the foul. Another bucket by Spoon would put the Buckaroos up by three a short time later.

Kermit would refuse to go away, and actually had a shot to win the game in the closing seconds. Breckenridge would hold on though, and advance to the regional tournament with the 62-60 victory.
