Landen Lewis said "We just have to take it one week at a time and prepare for the opponent that we have that week, and not look forward to the next week and take care of business."
Brent West said "I like to tell the kids the easiest thing is to get to the top of the mountain. The hardest thing is to stay there because now you've got tons of teams ready to knock you off, and we're going to see the best from people every single Friday night."
The Loboes will have to replace two huge pieces of their run to state in QB Colton Kent and running back Mason Reed. Landen Lewis, who rushed for over 1000 yards and 15 touchdowns, will take over as the feature back.
West said "We do have some juniors that played in the state championship last year. So those kids like Landen Lewis have got to step up and be great leaders."
Lewis said "I mean there's a lot of empty spots from last year, but everyone just has to step into their position and do their role and get the job done."
As for taking the snaps, Taylor Massey has been given the nod, but will have some pretty big shoes to fill.
West said "Taylor's done a great job in three days without pads on, without contact, but so far we're very impressed, and he's got to step up."
Kotie Hoover said "Well he also worked with our previous quarterbacks so it's not really anything different. He's just going to be, he's going to do a good job this year and we know it."
The Loboes say they arent satisfied with just one title, and will begin their quest for another ring Friday August 29th against Breckenridge.
