Mason Reed said "This last year we went to the first round and they beat us out, and coming back this year we've been thinking hard about it. Thinking we can't wait to play Canadian because we want to get some redemption on them. See if we can play our hearts out and get back and beat them this time."

Brent West said "I don't think I have to tell the kids how important this game is, and that 'Hey these guys beat us last year.' They know that. They know that this is an important game . That's not something that I'm having to preach. They know that Canadian is a good football team, and that we're going to have to come out and play. We're going to ahve to have some great practices in the process of that."

Reed said "We were listening to Canadian play, and we were actually hoping they'd win so we could play them again in the playoffs this year."

West said "Well it's a great opportunity for us. As you know Canadian beat us out of the playoffs last year in the second round. In 2007 they beat us over at Lowery Stadium in Lubbock. So, we're getting an opportunity to play a very good football team. They've got a great history and we're excited about the opportunity."

The Loboes rematch against Canadian is set for Friday at 7:00 in Wolfforth.
