The number of people avoiding the aisles and using virtual check-out carts to buy their produce and poultry went up 20% in the first quarter of the year.
Chase data also indicates the harsh winter kept consumers in their homes, with craft store spending up 113%, and sporting goods and home improvement sales both down from last year.
