A Colorado City man says he'll never walk without a limp due to a car accident in June.

Frankie Adkinson's car flipped 5 times after the back tires blew out. His foot was caught in a fence, and now he's missing a bone and awaiting surgery. His left leg will be one inch shorter than his right after doctors fuse the bones together. He will also never be able to move his foot.

But Colorado City has made sure he's able to get through the recovery without paying a thing. The doctor has agreed to donate his time for the procedure, and Colorado City raised the $5000 for hospital fees.

The accident comes a year and a half after Frankie battled appendicitis. He says that after surviving two near-death experiences, he feel blessed. Now, he'll be an offensive line coach for the JV football team at Sol Ross. Frankie says he's going to use his experiences to coach his players by teaching them to never give up.
