Whether it's the missing persons cases or one like the attempted murder of the girl in Eastland county, comments about those cases almost instantly become rampant on social media. While some of the attention is good for those affected, some of it can be distressing for family and victims. According to the Director of the Regional Crisis Center Diane Dotson, the power of social media can take what little control victims do have on what happened to them, and then blast it for everyone to see.
