The Cooper Cougars were able to rally from a 3-0 hole to knock off Odessa High.

The Bronchos would jump out to the early three run lead against Cooper pitcher Jonathan Nicholson, but once Tyler Jenkins entered in relief the Odessa High offense would come to a halt.

That would allow the Coogs to chip away at the lead with a two-run RBI by Austin Smith a bit later. Eentually Cooper would tie the game heading into the seventh and final inning.

That's when Jenkins would make his mark on the game offensivel. A two-run blast by Jenkins would prove to be the difference as Cooper went on to win by the count of 5-4.

The Cougars improved their district record to 3-1 ahead of their road match-up with Midland High on Saturday.
