Gretchen Denny, a CPS resolution specialist and former supervisor, was dismissed late last week.

Denny had been on administrative leave since last October. We asked the spokesman for CPS if Denny's termination was in any way related to the criminal investigation, and he could not confirm.

There is currently one other CPS supervisor who is still on administrative leave.

This dismissal follows another shocker that has rattled the Abilene CPS office--the discovery of an improper relationship between the father of the neglected child and a CPS worker.

In the latest incident, two additional CPS employees resigned, and two others have been disciplined for not reporting the relationship.
