Abilene police are looking for your help in solving a crime. You could get a cash reward for anonymous information that helps police solve a recent forgery case.

The department has surveillance video from an Abilene retail store back on May 7th. Employees told police that a woman paid for a big order with a check that later was reported as one that had been stolen.

"Hopefully, somebody out there watching will recognize her, and share that information with us," Gary Heslep of the Abilene Police Department said. "The first step is to find and talk to her about the case."

The high angle camera did not get a good image of the woman's face, but police say it still may be enough for people who know her.

"There may be something there that somebody will recognize her, and we're hoping somebody will give us a call and help us out on it," adds Heslep.

You can provide your anonymous information on the website at AbileneCrimeStoppers.com or by calling (325) 676-TIPS.
