Abilene police are looking for evidence in two recent crimes that are connected. The first, back on July 10th, was the theft of a purse that had been left in a shopping cart at a North Abilene discount variety store.
A debit card that had been in the purse was used two days later at a South Abilene supermarket. Police officer Gary Heslep said, police want to speak with the man in the surveillance image from the Dollar Store and the woman in the surveillance image from the supermarket.
Crimestoppers offers cash reward for anonymous information that helps police arrest and charge suspects in the crimes. Police want to speak with the people in the surveillance video to get a start on the investigation.
Crimestoppers has a long standing partnership between police, news reporters, and business people who are willing to pay the rewards to make Abilene a safer place to live and work.
For any information involving this case, Crimestoppers will offer up to $1,000 dollars for the right information that leads to the arrest.
