On Sunday, organizers and senior sponsors invited community members to participate in their fundraiser. The school teamed up with Dariyland Donkey Ball LLC Fundraising from Wisconsin where they split ticket sales.
The people were split into red and blue teams. Everyone who play admits it's difficult because the donkeys are stubborn.
"I think it's so much fun!" Shelly Davis says. "Watching kids and teachers get on their donkeys and falling off is hilarious."
Those who volunteer to play commonly have never done it before, but it provides entertainment for attendees, and there are those who consider donkeyball a great sport.
"I was 27 years old when I first played and now I'm 60," says participant John Curtis. "I think younger people need to play."
Between 14 to 16 volunteers of different ages took turns between ten donkeys.
In the end, the blue team won and the school raised $500.
