The Abilene High Eagles were unable to hold on to their early lead against the Midland High Bulldogs on Tuesday.

The Eagles would put one run on the board before Payton Coffman added another with a pop-fly that was dropped Midland's Jackson Lancaster. That would put Abilene High in front by two.

Abilene High would take advantage of another Bulldog error on a hit by Matt Loftin a short time later, and jump in front by the count of 3-0.

The Bulldogs would rally a short time later, and pull away for a 10-4 victory to retain sole possession of first place in the district.
