Early Errors Doom Cooper Against Coronado, 9-5

Coronado would get the scoring started with a ground ball by Coleman Hendershot that resulted in an errant throw by Cooper third baseman Jonathan Nicholson. The Mustangs would take a 1-0 lead after the throw got pasted Coogs catcher Garrett Hurst.

A base hit by Nick Bartley to left field would drive in another run for the Mustangs and extend their lead to 2-0 in the first inning.

Cooper pitcher David Ruot would settle down, and get a strike out to to somewhat stop the bleeding.

Coronado would capitalize on a total of five errors on the game though to score five unearned runs. That helped the Mustangs pull out a 9-5 victory, and extend Cooper's losing streak to six games.
