Early Votes In for Taylor and Brown County

A large number of people voted early for Tuesday's primary election
Early voting for next week's primary election ended late Friday night.

In Taylor County, 6,242 early voted. Of the total votes, 5,785 of them were for the Republican primary and 457 for the Democratic primary. The biggest turnout was on Friday with 1,333 votes.  

In Brown County, the total early votes was 3,324. According to election administrator Suzy Young, this year's primary election saw the largest turnout in early voting. On Friday alone, 600 voted in person and 423 by mail-in ballot. The total is nearly 15% of registered voters in Brown County.

Election day is Tuesday, March 4th.
