Family, Friends Remember Former Stephens County Sheriff

Louie Herbert Hall Sr. was the first African-American sheriff in Texas, and served as sheriff of Stephens County for 8 years.

Louie Herbert Hall Sr. was the first African-American sheriff in Texas, and served as sheriff of Stephens County (Breckenridge area) for 8 years.

Hall Sr., 79, died March 5, 2014 in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was a member of the U.S. Air Force.
Soon after the Air Force, he became the Stephens County Deputy Sheriff for 12 years followed by his service of 8 years being the Sheriff of Stephens County.

Hall Sr. enjoyed life, people and a good time.

The visitation will take place Friday, March 14, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. The service will take place Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1 p.m. at
Keystone Fellowship Church located at 5020 East Rosedale Fort Worth, Texas.
