Finley Stepping Up For Anson Tigers

The Anson Tigers are just about as dominant as any team in the Big Country right now.
The Anson Tigers are just about as dominant as any team in the Big Country right now.

In 3 games this postseason, the Tigers pitching staff hasn't given up a run, yet.

Matt Villanueva is the top starter, and this year, Chase Finley has developed into a really good number 2 starter for head coach Mario Estrada.

This time of year, a guy like Finley is very valuable.

Coach Mario Estrada said "He's a great asset to have. You can make a run with one guy, but having two just makes things a whole lot better. You can trust him a lot and he'll give you the best every time he goes out there."

Stetson Meek said "Chase is throwing great. He hasn't had many times to go out there and show himself, but now that we are getting to the series, he's able to get out there and throw, and he's really hitting his spots well and throwing hard."

Finley and the Tigers start the 3rd round of the baseball playoffs tomorrow. Game 1 with Claude is in Snyder at 7. Game 2 is Friday in Lubbock at 4.
