Fire Training Trailer Now Being Used To Help Homeless Animals

KRBC's Juanita Adame tells us how the city's new Animal Services Mobile Adoption Unit is being put to use.
It's a trailer that's not your typical recreational vehicle, it's actually designed to house animals.

"It took us about three to four months. All the way from painting the outside, getting graphics, ordering cages to come in here, designing how we want to do it because we had to gut the whole inside," Animal Services Director Aaron Vannoy said.

The trailer was finished in February and has made several appearances around town and can house about twenty animals.

Vannoy says that no tax dollars were spent in making it.

They hope to help many of the animals around the Big Country for many years to come.
